Hi there, I'm Amanda.  A stay-at-home mum to 2 girls who are 5 and 16 year old.  Along with my husband, girls and our Jack Russell dog we live in a small cottage surrounded by fields in the far North of Scotland.  We love being out in nature, foraging and gardening and we have recently been expanding our wee flock of chickens and ducks that we keep.

Myself and my husband have had various careers throughout our life so have a varied background of skills but certainly don't proclaim to be expert in any particular areas but are keen to learn and experience new things together as a family to find what interests our kids.

Our oldest daughter has always been school educated,  she started nursery when she was 3 years old and this year made the decision to complete 4th year and left High School with 6 NAT 5's (2 As, 3 Bs and a C), and we are extremely proud of her achievements considering the very difficult year it has been for most.  She is now continuing her education at a local College doing professional cookery while working at a local award winning seafood restaurant where every day she shows her commitment to the job and learning new skills.

Our youngest, already 5, had been in mainstream nurseries for the last 2 years and attended 1 week of mainstream school in August before we made the decision to withdraw her from school.  In no way do i think this is going to be easy, it's certainly going to have it's challenges but a whole world of possibilities exist in the world of Home Education.
